Compassionate, trauma-informed therapy across the UK

Helping you make sense of life’s challenges and move forward with confidence

About Me

Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, often rooted in trauma, adversity, and difficult life experiences. My expertise spans all levels of counselling and psychotherapy, supporting clients with issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, complex trauma, and personality disorders.

I specialise in trauma-informed practice, with extensive experience in areas such as child sexual abuse and exploitation, domestic and honour-based abuse, and violence against women and girls. Alongside my clinical work, I have led and developed therapeutic services, ensuring they are ethical, safe, and responsive to the diverse needs of the communities they serve.

At the heart of my practice is the belief that therapy should provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space. I offer a supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and experiences openly, gain greater understanding of yourself, and work towards meaningful and lasting change.

My Approach to Therapy

I work in a trauma-informed, relational way, recognising how past experiences can shape how we think, feel and relate to others in the present.

My approach is integrative, drawing on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), attachment-based ideas and strengths-focused practice. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model, I adapt the work to you, your pace, your goals and what feels manageable.

I also bring a strong understanding of cultural context into my work. Being fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi allows me to work more sensitively with clients from a range of backgrounds, particularly where culture, identity or family expectations are an important part of the story.

Therapy Services

I support adults and young people with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Some people come with a clear issue in mind, while others are simply feeling overwhelmed or stuck. Both are valid starting points.

Addiction & Coping Behaviours

Support for problematic coping strategies, including alcohol use or other behaviours that may feel difficult to manage. The focus is on understanding underlying needs and developing healthier ways of coping.

Anxiety

Support for generalised anxiety, panic, overthinking and social anxiety. Together we can explore what is driving these feelings and find ways to reduce their impact on your day-to-day life.

Depression

A space to talk about low mood, loss of motivation, or feeling disconnected. Therapy can help you understand these experiences and begin to rebuild a sense of direction and meaning.

Loneliness and Social Anxiety

A supportive space to explore feelings of isolation, difficulty connecting with others, or fear in social situations. Therapy can help build confidence and a stronger sense of connection.

Neurodiversity

Support for individuals who identify as neurodivergent, including ADHD or autism, or who are exploring this for the first time. This may focus on understanding your experiences, managing overwhelm, and finding strategies that work for you.

Relationships

Help with navigating relationship difficulties, whether with partners, family members or others. This may include communication, conflict, or patterns that feel hard to change.

Self-Esteem and Identity

Exploring confidence, self-worth and sense of identity. This can include feelings of not being “good enough”, imposter syndrome, or uncertainty about your place in the world.

Stress and Burnout

Support with work-related stress, emotional exhaustion and feeling overwhelmed. This often includes looking at boundaries, expectations and the pressures you may be carrying.

Trauma

Specialist support for those affected by trauma, including childhood experiences, abuse, or distressing life events. This work is always paced carefully, with an emphasis on safety, stability and choice.

Professional Experience

I have held senior roles leading therapeutic services, including as Clinical Lead for a specialist rape crisis service in Oxfordshire. In this role, I led a team of counsellors delivering trauma-informed support to survivors, while strengthening clinical governance, safeguarding and service quality assurance to BACP organisational standards.

My background also includes working within youth services, early intervention and specialist safeguarding teams, supporting individuals facing complex challenges such as exploitation, homelessness and family adversity. This experience informs my ability to work with both immediate concerns and deeper, long-standing difficulties.

Alongside therapy, I provide clinical supervision and have supported the development of practitioners working in trauma-informed and culturally responsive ways.
